WILDLIFE PARKS SINDH

Karachi Safari Park is a beloved public wildlife destination covering 148 acres in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Kirthar National Park is a vast and ecologically significant protected area spanning over 3,087 square kilometres in the Kirthar Mountain range, located north of Karachi in the Dadu and Jamshoro districts of Sindh, Pakistan. Established in 1974, it is the third largest national park in Pakistan and one of the country's premier wildlife destinations. The park shelters a rich diversity of fauna including leopards, Indian wolves, striped hyenas, honey badgers, urial sheep, Sindh ibex, and chinkara gazelle. Blackbuck are maintained in protected enclosures as part of an active reintroduction program. Birdlife is equally impressive, with Egyptian vultures, Eurasian griffons, eagles, owls, and partridges inhabiting the rocky cliffs and open terrain. Reptiles including mugger crocodiles, Indian pythons, and monitor lizards are also present.
