The Ocean Fantasy Museum is a unique aquarium and marine exhibit located within the Chengcing Lake Recreation Area in Niaosong District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Housed inside a former underground military command post and air-raid shelter originally built in 1963 near a presidential residence, the museum opened to the public in 1992 following the facility's conversion for civilian use. Visitors enter through a massive 5,000-kilogram blast door and explore a 200-meter winding underground tunnel lined with tanks displaying a diverse range of marine life, including sea stars, seahorses, rays, tropical fish, eels, and more. The exhibit also features fossils and shell specimen collections, blending natural history with an extraordinary historical setting. The Ocean Fantasy Museum offers a truly distinctive and atmospheric experience that appeals to families and history enthusiasts alike in the heart of Kaohsiung.
