Bueng Chawak Chaloem Phrakiet is a protected freshwater lake and wildlife sanctuary located in Doembang Nangbuat District, Suphan Buri Province, Thailand, covering approximately 2,700 rai and extending into neighbouring Chai Nat Province. Declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1983 and registered as a Ramsar Convention wetland, the lake supports diverse flora and fauna including lotuses and numerous bird species. Developed as a public tourist attraction in 1996 to mark the golden jubilee of King Rama IX, the site now includes a zoo, a public aquarium with a crocodile pond claimed to feature Southeast Asia's longest shark tunnel, a bird park, a garden of indigenous vegetables, and homestay accommodation. The destination offers a rare combination of natural heritage, conservation education, and family-friendly wildlife exhibits in the heart of central Thailand.
