Pata Zoo is a distinctive urban zoo occupying the 6th and 7th floors of the Pata Pinklao Department Store in the Bang Phlat district of Bangkok, Thailand, in operation since 1983. The zoo's two floors house a broad range of animals, including nocturnal species, reptiles such as albino Burmese pythons, fish, various primate species including orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and a resident western lowland gorilla named Bua Noi, as well as Asiatic black bears, lemurs, birds, guinea pigs, and small domestic animals. An artificial waterfall and botanical garden add a naturalistic touch to the indoor setting. Located near Phra Pinklao Bridge, Pata Zoo offers an unusual wildlife experience within the heart of Bangkok.
