Malatya Zoo, located within the Turgut Özal Nature Park in Battalgazi, Malatya, Turkey, is the only zoo in the Eastern Anatolia region. Spanning approximately 70 acres, the zoo houses over 1,300 animals across 78 species, including zebras, lions, tigers, bears, wolves, monkeys, deer, ostriches, and gazelles in a dedicated safari area. Recognized with a First-Class Zoo licence by the Nature Conservation Regional Directorate in 2023, the facility offers visitors a comprehensive wildlife experience, along with walking paths, cafeteria facilities, and a setting within one of the region's most attractive nature parks.
