The Phu Quoc Ridgeback Dog Conservation Center, also known as Thanh Nga Phu Quoc Ridgeback Conservation Centre, is a dedicated breeding and conservation facility located on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam, spanning five hectares and home to more than 300 of the rare Phu Quoc Ridgeback dogs. Established in 2000, the centre is one of the largest of its kind in the country and is devoted to the preservation, breeding, and training of the Phu Quoc Ridgeback — a unique native Vietnamese breed celebrated for its distinctive dorsal ridge, webbed feet, feline-like agility, and remarkable swimming ability. The breed was once pushed close to extinction and remains a significant part of Phu Quoc's cultural heritage. Visitors to the centre can learn about the history and characteristics of this extraordinary dog through interactive sessions and informative displays, gaining an appreciation for the important conservation work being undertaken to protect this beloved national breed.
