Avesta Visentpark, also known as Avesta Bison Park, is a significant wildlife conservation centre located just outside the town of Avesta in Dalarna, Sweden. The park is home to approximately 30 European bison, also called wisent, one of the continent's most endangered large mammals, which roam in two herds across a large natural enclosure. The herd's history at Avesta dates back to 1939, and by 1965 the park had become the world's largest European bison breeding station. Today it remains one of the most important breeding centres in Northern Europe and is a partner of the European Bison Conservation Centre. Visitors can observe these impressive prehistoric-looking animals from the enclosure pathways, enjoy refreshments at the barn café, and let children play in the outdoor family area with swings and climbing structures.

Myskoxcentrum i Härjedalen is a non-profit wildlife attraction and conservation centre in Tännäs, Härjedalen, Sweden, dedicated to the protection and study of the prehistoric-looking musk ox. Guided tours of approximately one to one and a half hours depart from the Härjebrygg brewery before travelling seven kilometres to the musk ox enclosure, where visitors can observe the herd of around seven animals, including named bulls and calves born on-site. The centre participates in Project Muskox 2030, collaborating with universities and wildlife parks across Europe on population research and habitat preservation. All admission fees directly support the breeding programme and conservation efforts. Accessible trails accommodate visitors with mobility concerns, and an educational gift shop and seasonal school programmes round out the experience. The centre welcomes guests year-round, with appropriate seasonal clothing recommended for the alpine Härjedalen climate.
