The Centre de la Biodiversité du Québec, known in English as the Center of Quebec Biodiversity, is an engaging nature and science museum located in Bécancour, Quebec, near the shores of Lac Saint-Pierre. Inaugurated in 1997, the centre features a range of interactive exhibits designed to raise awareness of Quebec's rich biodiversity and global conservation efforts. Highlights include the H2O Room with aquariums showcasing fish of the St. Lawrence River and a snapping turtle, a touch tank, and an otter habitat. Living animal ambassadors such as raccoons, a wood turtle, and a Great-Horned Owl delight visitors of all ages. Outdoor experiences include the biotrain journey through eight distinct forest ecosystems, a miniature farm, a marsh trail, apple picking, and a network of nature trails. The centre offers a captivating blend of education, conservation, and outdoor discovery in the heart of central Quebec.
