Rowsom's Tilbury West Conservation Area is a 62-acre natural greenspace located in the Municipality of Lakeshore in Essex County, Ontario, managed by the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority. Acquired in the late 1970s to protect significant bird, amphibian, and reptile habitats, the area encompasses a rich Carolinian forest and stream corridor that supports a remarkable diversity of wildlife. Positioned along a major migratory bird route, it is recognized as a birding hotspot in southwestern Ontario, attracting birdwatchers throughout the spring and fall seasons. Visitors enjoy free, year-round access from 8 AM to sunset, with hiking trails, a ponds area for fishing, and interpretive panels offering educational insights into the local wildlife and ecology.
