Edmonton Valley Zoo is a welcoming and intimate zoological park situated along the scenic banks of the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta, open 364 days a year. Home to over 350 animals representing more than 100 species, the zoo features a rich variety of native and exotic wildlife including snow leopards, Amur tigers, Arctic wolves, red pandas, Bactrian camels, Canada lynx, harbour seals, and northern fur seals. Signature exhibits include Arctic Shores, where guests can watch seals swim underwater through viewing windows, and the year-round Urban Farm. Families enjoy the miniature train, the endangered-animal carousel, an adventure maze, interactive animal talks, and a life-size whale skeleton playground. The zoo is owned and operated by the City of Edmonton and offers seasonal programming and keeper demonstrations for an engaging experience for all ages.

The Ecomuseum Zoo is the only outdoor zoo on the island of Montreal, situated in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec, just 30 minutes from downtown. Set across 11 hectares, the zoo is dedicated entirely to Quebec's indigenous wildlife, housing 115 species native to the St. Lawrence Valley including black bears, river otters, Canada lynx, gray wolves, Arctic foxes, snowy owls, and various birds of prey. All resident animals are unable to survive in the wild and come from accredited rehabilitation centres, ensuring each habitat closely mirrors their natural environment. An indoor pavilion showcasing fish, amphibians, and reptiles rounds out the experience, and the zoo is open 364 days a year.
