Furesa is a 220-acre wildlife sanctuary and nonprofit foundation located in Jayaque, La Libertad, El Salvador, approximately 30 minutes from San Salvador. The refuge is home to over 100 specimens representing 31 endangered species, including African lions, Bengal tigers, jaguars, hippos, pumas, and various primates, housed in naturalistic habitats designed to mimic wild environments. Furesa provides comprehensive animal care through veterinary services and breeding programs, with a particular focus on white African lions unique to Central America. In addition to wildlife viewing, visitors can experience thrilling canopy tours through the forest, and the organization welcomes donations and educational visits to promote ecosystem conservation awareness.
