ZooMontana is a 70-acre zoo and botanical park located in Billings, Montana — the state's only accredited zoo — operated as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization since 1992. The zoo is home to over 80 animals from 56 species, with a distinctive focus on wildlife native to Montana, the Rocky Mountains, and cold-climate regions at or above the 45th parallel. Residents include Amur tigers, grizzly bears, wolverines, river otters, Canada lynx, takin, American bison, and raptors, most of which are rescues. A one-acre sensory garden, an indoor habitat for global species, and a barn with domesticated animals round out the experience. Hosting more than 160,000 visitors annually and open year-round seven days a week, ZooMontana offers families and wildlife lovers a meaningful, regionally rooted animal encounter in the heart of Montana.
