Wilderness Trails Zoo is a 56-acre nonprofit wildlife park located in Birch Run, Michigan, offering visitors an immersive encounter with over 200 individual animals representing more than 50 species from around the world. The zoo's natural trail system winds through scenic woodland surroundings, bringing guests face-to-face with lions, tigers, primates, zebras, camels, alligators, parrots, and much more. A signature attraction is the Rainforest Room, a specially designed space maintained at tropical heat and humidity where guests can experience rainforest wildlife firsthand and even take part in yoga sessions led by certified instructors. The zoo also features a petting area, animal feed stations along the trail, and parakeet encounters, ensuring a hands-on experience for all ages. Open from May through October, the facility operates as a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to conservation and wildlife education.
