Creation Kingdom Zoo was a beloved family zoo in Gate City, Virginia that operated for 17 years before closing after sustaining severe damage from Hurricane Helene and a subsequent fire. In its place, the associated Expedition Untamed attraction has opened in Kingsport, Tennessee, continuing the mission of connecting families with wildlife through an immersive, climate-controlled indoor rainforest adventure. Visitors to Expedition Untamed journey through a simulated rainforest environment discovering tropical birds, monkeys, reptiles, amphibians, and more among lush forest flora. The facility operates seven days a week regardless of weather conditions and is designed to promote conservation awareness and sustainable efforts to protect wild animal populations, offering an educational and engaging experience suitable for guests of all ages.
