Cat Tales Wildlife Center is a nonprofit wildlife sanctuary and teaching zoo located at 17020 N Newport Highway in Mead, Washington, just north of Spokane. Founded over 30 years ago by Mike and Debbie Wyche, the center provides lifelong care for rescued, retired, and non-releasable big cats and other wildlife. The sanctuary is home to 21 feline species including bobcats, lynxes, pumas, lions, Siberian tigers, Bengal tigers, and white tigers, as well as wolves, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, and black bears. Visitors can enjoy up-close big cat and black bear feeding adventures, explore the "Cats of the World" museum and nature store, and participate in guided group tours. Open Tuesday through Sunday, Cat Tales Wildlife Center offers a deeply educational and intimate wildlife experience for guests of all ages in the Pacific Northwest.
