The Reptile and Amphibian Discovery Zoo, known as the RAD Zoo, is a specialized educational facility based in Medford, Oregon, dedicated to fostering a love and understanding of reptiles and amphibians through hands-on, traveling programs. Rather than operating as a traditional open-access zoo, the RAD Zoo brings its live animal presentations directly to schools, birthday parties, and community events throughout the region. Two experienced educators with a combined total of over 65 years of animal handling experience lead interactive sessions featuring amphibians, turtles, lizards, snakes, and a small alligator, with a particular passion for educating audiences about crocodilians. The mobile program format makes high-quality wildlife education accessible to diverse audiences across the Pacific Northwest, inspiring curiosity and appreciation for some of nature's most fascinating and often misunderstood creatures.
