Abrams Animal Farm, also known as the 1661 Exotic Animal Farm and Gardens, is a beloved landmark attraction located on Spring Street in New Shoreham on Block Island, Rhode Island. Established in 1973, the farm is one of only two facilities licensed for exotic animals in the state and is free and open to the public during daylight hours year-round, making it an accessible highlight for island visitors and locals alike. The farm is home to a remarkable variety of animals including red kangaroos, camels, alpacas, lemurs, emus, yaks, a zebu, a zeedonk (half zebra, half donkey), a giant tortoise named Tank, along with more traditional farm animals such as horses, sheep, goats, donkeys, ducks, and swans.
