African Safari Wildlife Park is Ohio's premier drive-through safari experience, located in Port Clinton on the shores of Lake Erie. The 65-acre drive-thru safari is home to over 800 animals representing dozens of species, including giraffes, zebras, bison, bongo antelopes, Bactrian camels, Scottish Highlanders, white alligators, kangaroos, porcupines, macaws, alpacas, llamas, elk, and fallow deer. Each vehicle receives a complimentary cup of animal feed, allowing guests to hand-feed animals right from their car windows. Walk-through exhibits, giraffe feeding stations, a Safari Secrets Barn Tour, camel rides, gem mining, educational summer programs, and a playground round out the experience. Seasonal operations run from mid-March through late November, making it a popular family destination in the Lake Erie region of northern Ohio.
