Spring River Zoo is a 34-acre zoological park located within Spring River Park in Roswell, New Mexico, offering visitors an engaging and accessible wildlife experience featuring approximately 100 animals across five distinct exhibit areas. The zoo showcases a diverse mix of native and exotic species including American bison, elk, longhorn cattle, wallabies, black bears, bobcats, gray foxes, coyotes, capybaras, coatimundi, miniature horses, llamas, and birds of prey such as a bald eagle, turkey vulture, and zone-tailed hawk. A highlight of the zoo is its antique wooden horse carousel, one of only around 100 remaining in the world.
