Global Wildlife Center is the largest entirely free-roaming animal preserve of its kind in the United States, encompassing 900 acres of gently rolling Louisiana countryside in Folsom, Saint Tammany Parish, north of New Orleans. The preserve is home to over 3,000 animals from around the world, including camels, giraffes, zebras, kangaroos, bison, deer, and many more species coexisting freely across open grasslands and around a scenic lake. Guided safari tours aboard large covered wagons pulled by tractors last approximately 75 minutes and take guests on an unhurried journey through the preserve, with opportunities to hand-feed and interact with the animals while learning about wildlife conservation from experienced guides. Private Pinz vehicle tours are also available for a more intimate experience. Global Wildlife Center has welcomed families, school groups, and wildlife enthusiasts since opening in 1991.
