Lehigh Valley Zoo is a 29-acre AZA-accredited zoological park set within the expansive 1,100-acre Trexler Nature Preserve in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. The zoo is home to more than 300 animals representing over 100 species, 36 of which are classified as endangered, threatened, or species of concern. Visitors can observe African penguins, red pandas, snow leopards, otters, zebras, camels, giraffes, wolves, porcupines, peacocks, and a wide variety of birds and reptiles in the Reptile and Amphibian Discovery Center. Family favorites include paddling around Lemur Island and behind-the-scenes wagon rides, while nature trails throughout the surrounding preserve offer additional hiking and wildlife spotting opportunities.
