Great Plains Zoo is a dynamic two-campus wildlife facility situated at 805 S Kiwanis Ave in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, dedicated to creating connections between people and wildlife and inspiring conservation of wild species and spaces. The zoo's main campus is home to animals from seven continents, including red wolves, lions, white rhinos, penguins, and giraffes, with popular giraffe feeding experiences available on select days. An adjacent Butterfly House and Aquarium campus houses South Dakota's largest public saltwater aquarium and its only butterfly conservatory. Families can enjoy a splash pad, educational ZooCamp and Junior Zookeeper programs, giraffe feedings, and private event hosting. The zoo's commitment to conservation education makes it a standout attraction in the northern Great Plains region.
