The Bill and Eva Williams Bear Habitat, commonly known as the Baylor Bear Habitat, is a beloved wildlife attraction located on the campus of Baylor University in Waco, Texas. This fully AZA-accredited facility is home to Indy and Belle, two live American black bear mascots that have been a cherished part of Baylor tradition since the university first introduced live bear mascots in 1917. The spacious, naturalistic habitat features a waterfall, pools, caves, deadfall trees, and dedicated digging areas designed to provide the bears with an enriching and comfortable home. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. with free admission, the Baylor Bear Habitat is the most visited attraction on the Baylor campus and a must-see for sports fans, families, and wildlife enthusiasts visiting Waco.
