Africa Alive Zoological Reserve

Africa Alive Zoological Reserve is a 100-acre conservation-focused zoo set in Kessingland, Suffolk, just south of Lowestoft. The reserve is home to more than 75 species of African and exotic wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, meerkats, hyenas, aardvarks, chimpanzees, lemurs, and a rich variety of birds and reptiles. At the heart of the reserve lies the spectacular Plains of Africa habitat, where visitors can overlook several savanna species roaming together across an expansive open landscape. Operated by the Zoological Society of East Anglia, a registered charity and member of WAZA, EAZA, and BIAZA, the reserve channels ticket proceeds and donations into global conservation programmes, including significant support for rhino conservation in Africa. It offers a meaningful and family-friendly wildlife experience in a beautiful Suffolk setting.
