Animal Park at the Conservators Center

Animal Park at the Conservators Center is a 45-acre nonprofit zoological park in Burlington, North Carolina, founded in 1999 and open to the public since 2007. The park is home to more than 70 exotic animals including lions, tigers, leopards, servals, jungle cats, gray wolves, lemurs, binturongs, New Guinea singing dogs, and other species rarely encountered at traditional zoos. Guided walking tours along a three-quarter-mile path bring visitors within five feet of the animals while expert guides share insights into each individual animal's personality and the broader ecological importance of their species. The Conservators Center is dedicated to education, animal welfare, and species advocacy, attracting approximately 16,000 visitors annually and serving as an important conservation resource in the North Carolina Piedmont region.
