Aquarium of Quebec

The Aquarium of Quebec, operated by Sepaq, is a major public aquarium located in the former city of Sainte-Foy within Quebec City, Quebec. Home to more than 10,000 animals representing over 300 species, the aquarium offers a rich variety of marine and freshwater encounters, including polar bears, harbour seals, leopard sharks, giant Pacific octopuses, jellyfish, sea otters, and three Pacific walruses — the only institution in the world caring for both subspecies. The celebrated Awesome Ocean exhibit invites visitors to walk through a 350,000-litre saltwater tank and observe marine life from a diver's perspective. Interactive touch tanks allow guests to handle starfish, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers. Outdoor water play areas, a riverside restaurant terrace, summer camps, and seasonal events round out the experience, making the Aquarium of Quebec a premier family destination on the banks of the St. Lawrence River.
