Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park

Askham Bryan Wildlife and Conservation Park is an educational wildlife attraction located on the campus of Askham Bryan College near York, England. Opened in 2017, the park welcomes around 20,000 visitors a year and is home to over 100 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates, including meerkats, lemurs, tamarins, owls, parrots, and wallabies. As a BIAZA member, the park participates in European Ex Situ breeding programmes for endangered species such as white-lipped tamarins, and supports initiatives like the conservation of the Tansy Beetle. Visitors can enjoy animal encounters, guided talks and workshops, and seasonal events including a popular Christmas experience. Open all week during school holidays and at weekends, with weekday visits requiring advance booking, the park provides a rich and purposeful wildlife experience for families, schools, and conservation enthusiasts alike.
