BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh

Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh is a FOUR PAWS wildlife rescue facility located approximately 45 minutes from Ninh Binh city in Huyện Nho Quan, northern Vietnam, dedicated to rescuing Asiatic black bears — also known as moon bears — from the illegal bile farming industry. Since opening in 2017, the sanctuary has saved numerous bears from dark and cramped cages, providing them with spacious naturalistic enclosures featuring wading pools, climbing platforms, and areas for natural foraging behaviours. Visitors can observe the bears from Vietnam's first dedicated bear skywalk — a 300-metre elevated walkway — as well as explore Vietnam's first interactive bear exhibition, which educates guests about bear biology, welfare, and the campaign to end bear farming in the country. Guided tours, a gift shop, and an on-site vegetarian restaurant complete the visitor experience. Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh is an inspiring example of wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and public education in action.
