Big Run Wolf Ranch

Big Run Wolf Ranch is a nonprofit wildlife education and conservation sanctuary located in Lockport, Illinois, that has been rescuing and caring for North American animals since 1986. The facility is home to more than 20 animals, including nine wolves, a black bear, tiger, cougar, lynx, coyote, skunk, porcupine, and a miniature Sicilian donkey, all of which are rescues that had no other placement options. The ranch is a federally licensed educational facility that believes in conservation through education, offering on-site and off-site presentations, school field trips, corporate events, live shows, photo opportunities, and seasonal public open houses once a month. Programs include the chance to bottle-feed wolf pups and participate in keeper-led encounters. Big Run Wolf Ranch relies entirely on public donations to sustain its mission of wildlife education and humane animal care in the greater Chicago area.
