BioContacto was a wildlife rehabilitation park and conservation center located in Mérida, Venezuela, specializing in the care and rehabilitation of Andean bears and other rescued native animals. The facility functioned as both an educational hub and a rehabilitation center, offering programs designed to foster appreciation for biodiversity and connect visitors of all backgrounds — including children and people with disabilities — to the natural world. BioContacto conducted active conservation work on Andean bear protection and broader species preservation, and was widely regarded as a pioneering environmental project in Venezuela. The park welcomed visitors from all walks of life, reflecting its inclusive community mission. Although the facility closed in 2024 following administrative changes, the foundation's conservation legacy continues to inspire wildlife protection efforts in the Andean region of Venezuela.
