Birdland Animal Park

Birdland Animal Park was a beloved wildlife park situated in Batemans Bay on the New South Wales South Coast, operating for many decades before closing in October 2024. Set in a natural bushland environment adjoining Joes Creek, the park was known for its wide variety of native Australian birds and animals, including kangaroos, koalas, emus, cassowaries, wombats, diamond pythons, galahs, and lorikeets. Visitors could enjoy hands-on encounters in open enclosures, walk-through kangaroo areas, and miniature train rides, making it a distinctive and family-friendly destination. The park also operated an orphanage for rescued native wildlife. With its emphasis on interactive experiences and its peaceful bush setting, Birdland Animal Park was a cherished attraction on the South Coast and a fond memory for generations of visitors.
