Blue Reef Aquarium Portsmouth is a captivating marine attraction located on Clarence Esplanade in Southsea, overlooking the Solent. The aquarium takes visitors on an undersea safari through more than forty living displays, from the rich variety of British coastal waters to the dazzling beauty of a tropical coral reef. The centrepiece Shark Lagoon tank is home to tropical sharks and hundreds of brightly coloured fish, viewable through a dramatic walk-through underwater tunnel. Species on display include giant Pacific octopus, blacktip reef sharks, stingrays, moray eels, seahorses, cuttlefish, lobsters, nautilus, and poison dart frogs.
