The Bonne Bay Aquarium and Research Station, operated by Memorial University's Grenfell Campus, is a marine ecology facility located in Norris Point, on the stunning shores of Bonne Bay within Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. Open seasonally from May to October, the public aquarium displays a range of local marine flora and fauna, from seaweeds to cod, wolffish, lobsters, jellyfish, and sea stars, with hands-on touch tanks inviting visitors to interact with the animals. Knowledgeable student interpreters lead approximately 45-minute tours, sharing insights from ongoing scientific research conducted at the station. Storyboards, underwater footage, and interactive displays enrich the experience. School and community groups are welcome, making it an educational and memorable destination for all who explore this spectacular corner of Newfoundland.
