Boomer's Funny Farm is a family-run petting farm and animal sanctuary founded in 2021 by the Thordarson family, located near Fraserwood in the Gimli area of Manitoba, Canada. What began as a hobby farm has grown into a welcoming animal care facility and rescue operation that provides permanent homes or suitable placements for animals in need. The farm is home to donkeys, horses, emus, llamas, goats, pigs, chickens, bunnies, and kittens, and visitors can enjoy guided tours, animal feeding sessions, and pony or horse rides. Open most days from 10 AM to 4 PM, Boomer's Funny Farm also hosts annual events, educational programs, and family-friendly experiences designed to foster meaningful connections between people and animals, with a special emphasis on the mental health benefits of animal interaction.
