Bordertown Wildlife Park

Bordertown Wildlife Park is a free 4.5-hectare wildlife reserve located in the township of Bordertown on South Australia's Limestone Coast. Opened in 1968, the park is particularly renowned for its remarkable mob of White Kangaroos, a unique genetic strain of the Western Grey Kangaroo that traces its lineage back to a single white kangaroo captured in 1980. The successful breeding program has since produced around 50 of these striking animals, some of which have been shared with institutions across Australia. Alongside the white kangaroos, visitors can observe Western Grey Kangaroos, Dama Wallabies, and a variety of birdlife. The park is easily accessible and free to enter, making it a wonderful family outing and a fascinating example of wildlife conservation and genetic preservation in regional South Australia.
