
Brandywine Zoo is a compact five-acre AZA-accredited zoological park situated along the scenic Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware. The zoo features animal encounters led by experienced zookeepers, giving visitors a chance to observe residents up close during feeding and training sessions. A recently unveiled multi-species habitat known as "The Falls" showcases a variety of animals in a naturalistic setting. Conservation is central to the zoo's mission, with active participation in the Delaware Kestrel Partnership, Monarch and Songbird SAFE programs, and citizen science collaborations through iNaturalist. Family-friendly programming includes Little Nature Explorers classes for children ages two to five, storytime sessions, Zoo Tunes concerts, and Sip & Stroll events, making it a welcoming destination for visitors of all ages in the Wilmington area.
