Caldwell Zoo

Caldwell Zoo is an AZA-accredited zoological facility located in Tyler, Texas, open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The zoo features a rich variety of exhibits and habitats, including Amazon River's Edge with resident capybaras, a newly constructed jaguar habitat complete with a pool, and a giant river otter habitat. Visitors can enjoy giraffe feeding, goat encounters, and regularly scheduled keeper talks. Educational programs such as ZooSchool, summer camps, and field trips are designed to inspire curiosity and foster a connection to nature for learners of all ages. Caldwell Zoo is committed to the conservation and preservation of wildlife through endangered species breeding programs and habitat protection, while also serving as a vibrant community resource in east Texas.
