Cameron Park Zoo

Cameron Park Zoo is an AZA-accredited zoological park in Waco, Texas, spanning 52 acres of lush landscape and home to more than 1,700 animals representing 300 species. Since opening in 1993, the zoo has developed a rich collection of exhibits including the Asian Forest, featuring Sumatran tigers, a Komodo dragon, and orangutans; the Brazos River Country, celebrating native Texas wildlife including bears, otters, cougars, and snakes; and the African Savanna, where giraffes, elephants, and rhinos roam. Conservation is a defining priority through the zoo's "10 to Protect" program, which concentrates efforts and resources on ten extraordinary species in partnership with international organizations to create measurable wild impact. The zoo is also a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
