
Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens is a 116-acre not-for-profit zoological and botanical destination located in Sanford, Florida, just north of Orlando. Home to around 400 individual animals representing nearly 100 species, the zoo features encounters with leopards, cheetahs, crocodiles, venomous snakes in its herpetarium, and a fascinating Insect Zoo showcasing scorpions, centipedes, and Madagascan hissing cockroaches. The Barnyard Buddies Children's Zoo allows young visitors to pet and interact with goats, llamas, and alpacas, while giraffe feedings and rhino encounters are available for an additional fee.
