Cohanzick Zoo

Cohanzick Zoo holds the distinction of being New Jersey's first zoo, established in 1934 and located at 45 Mayor Aitkin Drive in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Operating as a free public sanctuary, the zoo provides habitats for a wide range of animals from Bengal tigers and raccoons to box turtles and other native New Jersey wildlife, with each resident receiving individualized and specialized care.
