Cohunu Koala Park

Cohunu Koala Park is a family-run wildlife sanctuary set on 14 hectares of natural bushland in Byford, approximately 40 minutes south of Perth in Western Australia. Founded in 1972 and open to visitors since 1975, the park is renowned for its friendly, up-close animal encounters and welcoming atmosphere. Resident animals include koalas, wombats, kangaroos, wallabies, quokkas, echidnas, dingoes, llamas, alpacas, deer, ostriches, emus, freshwater crocodiles, over 30 talking parrots, and an array of other birds and farm animals. Visitors can cuddle a koala and have their photo taken between 10 AM and 4 PM, hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, and explore the park's grounds. A volunteer-built miniature railway operates on most weekends and public holidays, and life-size dinosaur replicas are scattered throughout the park, adding extra excitement for younger guests.
