Cosley Zoo

Cosley Zoo is a charming five-acre wildlife attraction and conservation center nestled in Wheaton, Illinois, home to more than 150 animals representing over 60 native Illinois species. The zoo features white-tailed deer, red fox, bobcats, raccoons, coyotes, turkey vultures, Blanding's turtles, barnyard animals, and a variety of reptiles and invertebrates, all displayed in naturalistic habitat exhibits. AZA-accredited since 2000, Cosley Zoo is particularly recognized for its meaningful conservation programs, including the Blanding's Turtle Head Start Program, which has released over 2,000 juveniles of this endangered species into DuPage County habitats, and efforts to hatch and release endangered Illinois barn owls. The zoo also operates a local chapter of FrogWatch USA to support amphibian monitoring.
