Crocodile Creek & Alligators

Crocodile Creek and Alligators is a nonprofit wildlife facility located approximately one hour north of Dallas in Gunter, Texas, specializing in the conservation and public education of crocodilians. Founded in 1999 as an active farm, the property began adding crocodiles in 2016 and alligators in 2020 and now provides visitors the opportunity to observe numerous alligators and crocodiles in naturalistic habitat settings while learning about Texas wildlife and reptile ecology. As a 501(c)(3) organization, Crocodile Creek accepts displaced and surrendered crocodilians and relies on donations to fund habitat infrastructure including fencing, housing, and pond construction. The facility is well suited for families, homeschoolers, and curious visitors seeking an educational day trip, and its convenient location near the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex makes it an accessible and unique wildlife destination in north Texas.
