
Crocodile Encounter is a nationally recognized wildlife facility located at 23231 County Road 48 in Angleton, Texas, approximately 30 minutes south of Houston. Recognized as the largest public crocodile facility in the United States, the 23-acre property is home to 14 species of crocodiles and two species of alligators, including the largest collection of African Nile crocodiles in the country. A network of boardwalks and platforms brings visitors remarkably close to these impressive reptiles, while guided tours feature keeper feedings, multiple animal interactions, access to a tortoise field, and the chance to pose with a baby alligator. Additional wildlife on site includes antelopes and an Australian emu. Founded and operated by a former science teacher and his family, Crocodile Encounter combines thrilling encounters with a strong emphasis on education and conservation.
