Desert Zoo Si Tijani Bejghil is a long-established desert wildlife attraction in Tozeur, a historic oasis city in southwestern Tunisia. Named after a renowned local snake handler, the zoo is recognised as the first and oldest zoological facility in Tozeur and specialises in the unique fauna of the Sahara and its surrounding desert ecosystems. Visitors can encounter gazelles, fennec foxes, dromedaries, desert monitors, sand and horned vipers, scorpions, raptors, and other rare desert-adapted creatures housed in enclosures designed to reflect their natural habitats. Expert guides accompany tours and bring select animals up close, offering an educational and memorable introduction to Saharan biodiversity.
