Drøbak Aquarium

Drøbak Akvarium is Eastern Norway's largest aquarium, located in the charming coastal town of Drøbak in the Frogn municipality, along the shores of the Oslofjord. The facility boasts more than 50 tanks ranging from small 30-litre displays up to a dramatic 25,000-litre main basin, showcasing the rich aquatic life of the Oslofjord and surrounding freshwater environments. Highlights include a touch pool, a children's tunnel, a jellyfish tank, and regular fish feeding demonstrations. Notable residents include the park mascot Hugo the wolffish, as well as rays, sharks, starfish, and scallops. The aquarium is open daily year-round, with extended summer hours from May to August, and serves as both a recreational destination and a marine biology education centre, appealing to families, school groups, and nature enthusiasts visiting the greater Oslo region.
