Eagles Heritage

Eagles Heritage, now operating as the Capes Raptor Centre under the Capes Foundation, is a bird of prey sanctuary established in 1987 and located in Margaret River, Western Australia. The facility provides permanent homes for injured raptors unable to return to the wild and rehabilitates and releases many birds annually. Visitors follow a self-guided one-kilometre bushland trail through native forest featuring aviaries housing eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls. Twice-daily free-flight displays allow wildlife guides to demonstrate the hunting adaptations and extraordinary behaviours of these birds. A premium Private Owl Encounter lets guests hold an owl and learn about conservation efforts first-hand. The sanctuary operates dedicated hospital facilities and actively addresses threats such as rodent-control poisoning affecting wild raptor populations, making it both an educational attraction and a meaningful conservation centre.
