East Coast Natureworld is a wildlife park and animal sanctuary set across 160 acres of parkland and lagoon in Bicheno, on Tasmania's scenic east coast. Funded entirely by entry fees and private donations, the sanctuary provides a refuge for injured and abandoned native wildlife, with residents including Tasmanian devils, quolls, wombats, echidnas, pademelons, owls, Cape Barren geese, cockatoos, and native and exotic parrots. Visitors can hand-feed free-ranging kangaroos, attend Tasmanian devil feedings, and join daily Meet-a-Keeper sessions at 10am and 3:30pm. A popular nightly Devils in the Dark tour offers a unique after-hours encounter with these fascinating marsupials. An onsite cafe and souvenir shop round out the experience, making East Coast Natureworld a welcoming and authentic wildlife destination for travellers exploring Tasmania's beautiful east coast region.
