East Idaho Aquarium is a nonprofit interactive aquarium located at 570 E Anderson Street in Idaho Falls, Idaho, operating since 2013. The facility features a diverse array of aquatic and terrestrial animals, including sharks, stingrays, fish, reptiles, birds, and a beloved porcupine named Rufus. Visitors are encouraged to engage through hands-on experiences such as petting fish, feeding stingrays and birds, touching starfish, operating an underwater camera inside the shark tank, and the unique "Doctor Fish" attraction where small fish gently clean visitors' hands. Touch pools and interactive stations highlight species from global water ecosystems. The aquarium is open to the public most days of the week and welcomes field trips, group visits, private parties, and animal encounters. Dependent on community support and volunteers, East Idaho Aquarium offers an accessible and genuinely engaging wildlife experience for families across the eastern Idaho region.
