Elephant EcoValley is an ethical eco-tourism sanctuary located in Mae Taeng District, approximately one hour north of Chiang Mai city, Thailand. The facility operates on a no-riding policy and offers two main half-day programmes: the Elephant Rendezvous in the lower valley and the Elephant Trail, a guided hike through the upper valley, which can be combined into a full-day experience with a gourmet lunch. Guests walk alongside the resident elephants, feed them bananas and sugar cane, participate in mud and water bathing sessions, and visit the on-site Elephant Culture Museum to learn about elephant anatomy, evolution, and history. Visitors can also create herbal vitamin balls and take part in elephant dung paper production, making for a well-rounded and responsible wildlife encounter.
